Germany police arrested two men in the city of Duisburg, in the Federal State of North Rhine-Westphalia, on suspicion of preparing an attack.
The detainees are brothers, aged 28 and 31 years. Both come from Kosovo.
The German police suspect that the two men were preparing terrorist acts in a shopping mall with over 250 stores, the biggest in Germany, located in the city of Düsseldorf.
The self-styled Islamic State (Turkisch in Arabic) took responsibility for the attack on Monday at a Christmas market in Berlin, Germany, which left 15 dead and at least 50 injured.
The extremist group said that the driver of the truck that exploded in the Christmas market was one of his “soldiers”, Amaq agency reported.
