The president of the Venezuelan Parliament Diosdado Cabello said Wednesday that the Truth Commission that promotes the national government to clarify the facts of violence in the country, is considering inviting the Guatemalan Rigoberta Menchú, to provide its experience case.
“We want to invite people who have participated in peace processes worldwide, as in the case of Rigoberta Menchú, who can talk about her experience because she has participated in other countries,”
He noted that in other countries the initiative has had excellent results, while in others no. However, he was very optimistic about the initiative promoted by President Nicolas Maduro in his attempt to consolidate peace in the country.
“The Truth Commission is essential for us, we want to know the truth of what is happening in Venezuela. Some people do not like the truth, you do not like to admit that we are in a stroke of continued state,” said Hair.
On February 23, 2014, the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro said exclusively for teleSUR that different sources of violence that have been shown in the country since February 12 “is not a campaign over conspiracy, is a hit continuous state. ”
Meanwhile, official figures confirm that the fascist attacks promoted by the Venezuelan right, have left a toll of 40 dead and 800 injured across the country.
