Bolivia already has more than 11 million inhabitants

The National Institute of statistics (INE) reported on Sunday that the population of Bolivia went from 10 million 985 thousand people in 2016 to 11 million 145 thousand in 2017.
The director of the INE, Luis Pereyra, explained that the projections are based on the national census of population and housing conducted in 2012 and information on fertility, mortality and migration.
Projections indicate that the most populous city is Santa Cruz, with 664 million; followed by El Alto (912 thousand 906), La Paz (798 thousand 968) and Cochabamba (691 thousand 970), Potosí, with 880 thousand 651; Chuquisaca, with 621 thousand 148; Tarija, with 553 thousand 373; Oruro, with 531 thousand 890; Beni, with 462 thousand 081; and finally, the Department of Pando, with 139 thousand 018 people.
