They repress protest of people with disabilities in Bogota

The squadron mobile Antidisturbios (Esmad) of the national police of Colombia, cracked down with tear gas on disabled people who peacefully demonstrating against the Mayor of Bogota on Wednesday by reducing subsidies in passages of Transmilenio and cuts in bonds of food for the population with disabilities.

The Mayor of Bogota, Enrique Peñalosa, through his Twitter account, regretted what happened and said that it was “accidental” and that it will investigate what happened.

I regret much apparently accidental use of tear gas that affected person on disability. We will investigate the case – Enrique Peñalosa (@EnriquePenalosa) 19 April 2017 however, the Councillor of the progressive party, Hollman Morris, denounced “the brutality of the Esmad protesters” in your Twitter account and published a video showing that what happened “was not an accident” as it ensures Peñalosa.
