Foreign Minister of Cuba meets Mariano Rajoy in Madrid

The President of the Spanish Government, Mariano Rajoy, received Monday the Minister of foreign relations of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla in the Moncloa Palace, seat of the Spanish Presidency.
At this meeting, driven in response to an invitation by the authorities from the European country, they treated the subject of bilateral relations and relations between Cuba and the European Union after the signing of the new agreement on political dialogue and cooperation, in December 2016.

For them, the diplomat will be received in audience by the King Felipe VI in the Zarzuela’s Palace, his official residence.
Also, during his stay in Madrid, Rodriguez Parrilla will have an interview with his Spanish counterpart, Alfonso Dastis, whose last match was in December, after the signing of the agreement in the city of Brussels.
In this way, the Cuban Foreign Minister’s visit is the first carrying a Minister of foreign relations of Cuba since 2008, when he was in the country his predecessor, Felipe Pérez Roque.
Spain will be the first stop of a tour that will lead to the Cuban Foreign Minister to Portugal and Greece.
