Somalia is declared in State of war against terrorism

The President of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, said Thursday the State of war in the African nation against the group Al-Shabab terrorist, responsible for the car bomb attack on Wednesday in the capital of the nation, Mogadishu.
“We are in a State of war and I call on all Somalis to cooperate with us,” said the President, who said that the “State of war will not be unilateral. It will involve both sides and God will be on our side.”

The President gave within 60 days to the members of the Organization to participate in an amnesty. It also urged security agencies and military commanders to “be prepared”.
“They have instructions to ensure the safety of Mogadishu and other regions of the country, and I would ask the public to cooperate with these agencies,” said the President. However, the leaders of the extremist organization pledged to persist in the fight against the new Government of Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
