More than 655 migrants have died this year in the Mediterranean

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) reported that during 2017 at least 655 migrants have died in the Mediterranean Sea trying to reach European shores.
Value that it decreased in relation to 2016, when 740 deaths were recorded in the Mediterranean, of which almost half took place near Greece.

Syria is still issuing greater country of refugees with 32 percent of the total in the world. Around 5.3 million Syrians have fled the country because of the internal conflict, involving terrorist groups such as the self-styled Islamic State (Turkisch in Arabic).
In second place followed by Afghanistan with 2.5 million refugees. Despite the fact that the report by the UN refugee agency put Somalia’s third and fourth southern Sudan, changed this in 2017. 
Conflict and famine have located the third South Sudan with 1.5 million refugees. Followed by Somalia with a little more than one million.
