Chairpersons, members of the community of Latin American and Caribbean (CELAC), gathered in the town of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, ratified its support to the process of dialogue in Venezuela between the Government and the opposition, under the gaze of the Secretary general of UNASUR, Ernesto Samper; the representative sent by the Vatican and the Presidents of Spain José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, Republic Dominicada Leonel Fernández and Panama, Martin Torrijos.
“We encourage the parties to make efforts to achieve concrete results, as well as to meet without delay agreements achieved up to now, to ensure the continuity of the process and return to the talks in good faith and with high constructive engagement and full adherence to the rule of law, human rights and democratic institutions, especially the separation of powers within the framework of the Constitution and the laws of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and under the principle “of respect to the not intervention in the affairs internal of them States”, said about the process of dialogue in Venezuela.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the disposition of the Venezuelan Government to talk with the opposition at the end of the consolidation of peace in that nation.
In addition, he recalled that President Nicolas Maduro gave its full support to the dialogue process and that it was he who proposed to opposition leaders go to a table of talks aiming to achieve the well-being of the country.
“This process was encouraged by President Maduro to steer democratic opposition, extremist, violent.” We will continue to strengthen the mechanisms (of dialogue) “, he stressed.
