Behind bars 19 Mexican police by looting in gasolinazo

Mexico authorities arrested 19 policemen Monday for their alleged involvement in looting reported last week in the town of Veracruz, in the midst of the protests by the ‘gasolinazo’.  
The Ministry of public security indicated that agents were arrested after being located in a cellar several looted materials, unless you notify superiors.

Also some 497 Mexicans of 622 detainees joined a criminal under charges for theft, robbery with violence and damage to property, it said in a statement the Attorney General of Justice of the State of Mexico.
The Prosecutor’s Office reported that 497 detainees, 402 are adult men and women, and 165 are minor.
The Mexican Government raised a 14.2 to a 20.1 percent the price of petrol from January 1, as part of phased liberalization of the price of fuel.
The decision has sparked angry protests, blockades of roads and gas stations, as well as looting at stores in several States of the country.
Chihuahua, Morelos and the State of Mexico were scene of protests Monday. 
Farmers and peasants took the facilities of the Ministry of Social development of Mexico (Sedesol), the national of the water Commission (Conagua), the Secretariat of agriculture, livestock, Rural Development, fishing and food (Sagarpa), located in the State of Chihuahua, as a measure of pressure to cancel the increase of energy. 
> Mexican collected signatures against the gasolinazo despite the serious incidents that have caused the death of a police officer, the Executive has remained firm and has ensured that the measure is not reversed.
On Thursday, the President of Mexico, Enrique Peña Nieto, said that the rise in prices is due to external reasons, stressing that “this adjustment in the price of gasoline is not energy reform or an increase in taxes”.
