Foreign Ministry condemns the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ecuador issued a statement on Saturday which condemned Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, qualifies as disproportionate military operations and demanded the withdrawal of such attacks against the civilian population in the Gaza Strip.
“The Government of Ecuador strongly condemns the disproportionate military operations by the Israeli army against the civilian population of the Gaza Strip, which have left more than a hundred casualties,” the official statement.
Confirmed its previous position on the escalation of violence in the region, called on Israel to exercise maximum restraint and act attached to international law and humanitarian law.
“The Government reiterates its position as expressed in the Official Report published on July 8, and considers essential to clarify the crimes that led to the escalation of violence and bring those responsible to justice.”
He reiterated that constructive and committed to finding lasting solutions dialogue is the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace in the Middle East.
A five-day military operation “Protective Edge”, the Israeli army has bombed more than a thousand of alleged Islamist positions and made 100 consecutive attacks that have killed 151 Palestinians and nearly a thousand were injured, mostly women and Children.
