Chile condemns Israeli attacks on Gaza

Chile’s government also rejected Israel’s attacks on Gaza and expressed “deep concern” over the escalating violence in the Middle East area.
Through a statement, the Foreign Ministry complained that Israeli bombing has caused a number of fatalities (81 so far), among which includes civilians, women and children.
“The condemned kidnappings and deaths of three young Israeli and Palestinian youth can not be an excuse to launch terrorist actions nor to attack densely populated by civilians,” said the Chilean Government.
Chile called on all actors involved in the conflict to “establish a truce and respect international humanitarian law” and endorsed the words of the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN, Ban Ki-moon, who urged finding a solution to this serious crisis.
Venezuela also spoke to repudiate the attacks on Gaza.
