Panama declares not asylum to former head cancellation Colombian security

Colombia’s Foreign Minister Maria Angela Holguin said the Panamanian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the Supreme Court of Panama has not ruled on that accorded to the former head of the Administrative Department of Security (DAS) asylum and this continues.
“I had the opportunity last week to have a meeting with Foreign Minister of Panama, where he tells me that this information is not true, there is no decision of the Court,” he said.
In that order, explained that under the circumstances “nothing has changed about that because there is a decision of the Supreme Court declaring unconstitutional Panama asylum.”
He said that according to Panama’s foreign minister confirmed that decision may take some time.
Holguin also indicated that not canceled the passport of the former director of Das, as it has not received a formal request from the prosecution.
“He has a valid passport is taken in 2009, and has in effect until 2019,” confirmed the chancellor.
He pointed out that what has been done is that instructions were given to consulates not to issue a new passport in case Hurtado request.
