The president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, said Saturday that his attendance at the opening of the World Cup, scheduled for June 12 in Sao Paulo, is also an endorsement of the Brazilian President, Dilma Rousseff, and its management government.
“I’ll be at the opening and will be a way of supporting President Dilma, before complaining that there are a little unfair,” said the Head of State in his Saturday City Link program, which reports to the Ecuadorian people on its management Weekly.
He added that the result of social progress in the South American country, a middle class that is growing aspirations was formed not only quantitative.
“They do not want more schools, now they want better schools, do not want more jobs, better jobs now want” Correa said.
According to AFP, so far 21 world leaders have confirmed their attendance to both parties as the opening World Cup Brazil 2014, which will take place from 12 June to 13 July.
Among the group’s secretary general of the United Nations (UN), Ban Ki-Moon is included; the presidents of Uruguay, José Mujica; of Bolivia, Evo Morales; of Chile, Michelle Bachelet; and Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
