Traffic accident in Colombia leaves 6 dead and 19 wounded

Colombian authorities said Tuesday, in the early morning hours of a public bus rolled down a chasm in the road from the center of Colombia, as a result leaving nineteen wounded and at least six people dead.
Bus Company Arauca rushed for 150 meter abyss near Apía (Risaralda), in the coffee zone of central Mexico. Authorities stressed ignore the causes of the accident, although the hypothesis of speeding handled, mechanical failure or problems on the road.
A week ago the government of Colombia decreed three days of mourning for the 32 children who were burned to death last Sunday when the bus they were traveling in the town of Foundation (North) caught fire.
“The national government on behalf of the Colombian people, expresses its deep sorrow at the demise of the 32 minors in the events of May 18, 2014 in the town of Foundation, in the department of Magdalena,” a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior.
A report by the World Bank in 2013 said that traffic accidents are the second leading cause of death in Colombia, with 12.8 deaths per hundred thousand inhabitants.
